Plus, with our team here at Car Finance Genie making available affordable no-deposit car finance for motorists of a wide range of circumstances and needs, a shiny new car could turn out to be more attainable for you than ever in the New Year.
So, let’s hop to it; below is our top 10 of the upcoming car models we’re especially excited about for 2022.
1. Land Rover Range Rover
There is plenty new beneath the familiar face of the 2022 Range Rover. While the fifth-generation Range Rover has maintained the general shape and design we have been familiar with for the past half-century, its technical aspects are set to exceed expectations. As reported by What Car?, it will be the final Range Rover that can be bought in “full-fat” petrol and diesel variants, but the first to be available as an entirely electric car.
2. Acura MDX
The fourth generation MDX is the largest Acura vehicle, and promises sharper handling and greater agility. The driver-assist features include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and blind-spot monitors. Among the eye-catching changes are new convenience features, a standard panoramic sunroof and a 12.3-inch display screen.
3. Genesis GV70
The redesigned Genesis GV70 aims to undercut the price of other luxury crossover SUVs. Advanced technology is integrated into every part of the new G70. On the outside, sophisticated cameras, radar and sonar sensors are used to make everything from Highway Driving Assist to the advanced safety suite function smoothly. The G70 includes exclusive accessories such as a rear bumper appliqué and illuminated door scuff plates to help protect against scratches and scrapes.
4. Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The stunning 2022 Mercedes C-Class is a luxury stalwart with even more safety technology, which continues to make it a very attractive option compared to the likes of the Volvo S60, BMW 3-Series, and Audi A4. The exterior styling will not change much, but the new C-Class will have many new features. Adaptive cruise control and driver-assist features can detect and help avoid stationary vehicles at up to 62mph, while active lane control can keep the car centred in its lane at speeds of up to 130 mph.
5. Subaru BRZ
With sports-car purity and Subaru genes, this affordable sports coupé will come with a larger engine and is said to drive with greater body stiffness for more balanced cornering. Designed for true drivers, the Subaru BRZ includes a lightweight chassis for outstanding response and road feel, as well as rear-wheel drive, upgraded wheels, tyres and brakes, and quick-ratio steering.
Now, the electric vehicles…
With the market for electric vehicles continuing its rapid rise in the UK and across the world, we thought we’d dedicate the rest of our ‘most anticipated’ top 10 to them. Take a look…
6. Rivian R1T
The Detroit-based electric vehicle start-up Rivian will be launching the R1T mid-size pickup and R1S crossover SUV very soon. The handsome, all-electric pickup uses a 135-kWh battery pack with an estimated 300-mile range. The R1T comes with all-wheel drive as standard and promises lightning-quick acceleration.
7. GMC Hummer EV
The big and bold Hummer has reincarnated as an electric pickup truck with an estimated 350-mile range from its 200-kWh battery pack. Along with off-road capabilities, the GMC Hummer EV has a removable roof and can self-drive. Sadly, however – as Auto Express has reported – it isn’t yet expected to be officially sold in the UK, although it is nonetheless one to watch.
8. Porsche Macan EV
With intentions to also join the ‘green team’, Porsche has announced that the next generation of the Macan SUV will become fully electric in 2022. Not only will the upgrade of the SUV be cleaner, but it is also expected to deliver improved performance.
9. BMW i4
With its sporty yet elegant design, the BMW i4 combines high performance with contemporary comforts to deliver an impressive driving experience. This EV can go from 10% to 80% in only 31 minutes at a 200kw charging station. The BMW i4 is arriving at the end of 2021, and will surely be a perfect companion on any trip.
10. Lucid Air
If you have a budget of around £40,000 upwards for an EV saloon and you’re interested in alternatives to the Tesla Model S, the Air model from the California-based EV start-up, Lucid, could be a tempting possibility. Autocar recently reported the beginning of production for the performance saloon, which offers as much as 1065bhp and a claimed maximum range of over 500 miles. It has been said to be the world’s longest-ranging and fastest-charging luxury car.
There you have it… 10 of the vehicles we can’t wait to hit a road near us (and you!) very soon. And if you can’t wait and want to get a great car finance deal right now, don’t forget that it’s super easy to apply for exactly that, with potentially no need to put down a deposit at all.
